Where is Etnica based?

All of our products are imported from countries in Central and Latin America. Our head office is in Vancouver, Canada.

What does Etnica mean?

Etnica is a Spanish adjective for something that is ‘particular or specific to a given region or community’. It is used to describe cultural aspects such as art, food, practices and yes, even fashion that has unique qualities, characteristics and historical significance to a particular place or people.

Where do you source your products?

Our alpaca line is made in a family owned, fair-trade certified workshop in Peru, that demands ethical treatment of the animal and employs professional, skilled artisans.

Are alpacas hurt in the process?

Heck no! Acquiring wool from alpacas in no way harms the little guys, it’s just like getting a haircut. Read our blog post to learn more about the process.

Where do you ship to?

We’re excited to say that we ship worldwide. As of right now, free shipping is only available within Canada. 


Shopping from outside of Canada?

We'll create a customized quote for you with shipping details.

What days do you ship out?

Currently we ship once a week, every Saturday. This is not set in stone, so we’ll try our best to ship out within 4 days of order placement, no matter what day you place your order.

Do you use shipping tracking numbers?

In order to keep costs of shipping as low as possible for our customers, we do not offer tracking numbers.

Who can I expect to receive emails from, if it’s not a tracking number? And how will you be able to track my order?

You will receive emails from sandra@helloetnica.com, please check your junk mail or shoot us an email if you don’t receive a confirmation email 24 hours after you’ve placed your order.

What if my order doesn’t arrive within the promised range of time?

If your order has not arrived please email sandra@helloetnica.com and let us know.

How long until I receive my order?

We try our best to ship within 4-6 business days from the day you place your order. We will send you update emails throughout the process to make sure you know how your order is coming along. With international orders, the process will take a bit longer. Expect your garment to arrive anywhere between 3-10 weeks, depending on the efficiency of the postal service in your area.


How do I know what size to order? Do they fit true to size?

What is your return policy?

Our policy varies depending on the item and the reason for return.

If you are not satisfied with the product as soon as it reaches you please contact us and we’ll work something out. If the product does not fit correctly let us know and we’ll arrange an exchange, however you’ll be financially responsible for all shipping costs. Please refer to our sizing chart prior to purchasing.

If a product has been worn and the tag removed, we don’t accept returns. At the end of the day we just want you to be happy and love your Etnica product.
